Nuts & Seeds
Choose a healthy snack with lots of protein and good fats! But how many proteins do nuts and seeds contain? And which nuts are really healthy?
Buying nuts
Whether you are at work, on the road or at home on the sofa, everyone sometimes craves a bag of crisps or some nuts. Unfortunately, crisps are not that healthy because of the amount of salt and fats in them. XXL Nutrition has the solution! For a tasty and healthy treat, we have dry roasted nuts and seeds. The name says it all: these nuts and seeds are dry roasted and therefore contain no added, unhealthy fats.
Proteins in nuts and seeds
Nuts are almost all rich in proteins and good, unsaturated fats. In addition, they are packed with vitamins and minerals, making them the perfect snack. The amount of proteins in nuts and seeds naturally varies greatly between types. Cashew nuts contain 15.5 grams of protein per 100 grams, but almonds surpass that and contain no less than 19.5 grams! Difficulty choosing? For those athletes, we also have a mix of all kinds of delicious nuts together.
Are you on a diet? Do take into account that nuts contain a relatively high number of calories. Eating a whole bag of nuts is therefore still not a good plan!
Which are the healthy nuts and seeds?
All unsalted nuts and seeds are healthy! That's good, because they are also very tasty. So you don't have to feel guilty at all when you sit on the sofa in the evening and open a bag of nuts. If you want to increase your protein intake a bit, you can choose a shake, but nuts are also a good addition to your diet. If you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, nuts are especially important as an addition to your daily diet.
