Take a post-workout after your workout, and you can be sure you'll get plenty of the nutrients your body needs at any given time!
In the world of sports supplements, you have the pre-workout, the intra-workout and the post-workout. As the name suggests: you take the pre-workout before your workout, the intra-workout during the workout and the post-workout after the workout. The post-workout often contains ingredients such as proteins, carbohydrates, amino acids, BCAA, L-carnitine, taurine, glutamine, vitamins and minerals. A post-workout contains the ideal combination of ingredients that your body needs shortly after training to support muscle recovery and muscle growth.
For years, Mega Grow has been our most popular post-workout consisting of a combination of fast carbohydrates, BCAAs and a high dose of creatine. For the more advanced athlete, we have Advanced Post Workout with Peptopro, Vitargo and waxy maize, among other things.
After your workout, you mainly want to get a lot of proteins and carbohydrates. Examples are our carbohydrate bars, pancakes or a protein milkshake to which you add extra oatmeal. Need some inspiration for protein-rich milkshake recipes? Look at our blog for a recipe to try.
You can go for a protein bar or a post-workout meal, but you can also choose to have a shake. Actually just as easy! Do make sure that you're getting the correct ratio of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. If necessary, add a little extra to your shake to get enough nutrients after your workout. Think for example of extra fruits, nuts or seeds, or choose to add milk instead of water. Please note: to get the best results, have the post-workout shake within 2 hours after the workout.
