Free Amino Acids
What are loose amino acids?
When you think of amino acids, you probably think of a blend like BCAAs. But did you know that there are also plenty of individual amino acids available? Sometimes, these are essential amino acids such as leucine but often also non-essential amino acids such as arginine, taurine, GABA, L-theanine or tryptophan. The fact that an amino acid is not essential does not mean that taking it has no added value! This way, you have control. XXL Nutrition has a broad range of loose amino acids, all with their own activity and available in powder form, tablets and capsules.
Taurine
Taurine, the non-essential amino acid that is also often found in energy drinks, has been widely used in the fitness world for years. With loose taurine capsules you can easily add extra taurine to your diet.
GABA
Gaba is a γ-amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter in the body. GABA is often taken before bedtime, sometimes in combination with melatonin or valerian extract.
L-Theanine
L-Theanine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in tea leaves. However, in order to get enough of it that way, you would have to drink large amounts of tea. For this reason, L-theanine in capsule form is the perfect solution to, for example, take with your breakfast when you are following a diet.
